It is 12"x12" and has been treated with a satin varnish. The sides are painted solid black.

The back currently does not have a wire or sawtooth hanger (it can be hung with a newest nail on the edge of the wood canvas frame). If you would like me to add one, please let me know when you order. It's not a problem!
