Antique Jewelry Casket Göttingen Germany Ring newest Box Beveled Glass Gold Ormulu Victorian Edwardian Street Scene Souvenir Trinket Box

This is a unique antique late Victorian or Edwardian era jewelry casket made of thick beveled glass and metal. The top piece of glass features a street scene from Göttingen Germany as it appeared around the turn of the 19th century. You can see that all the quant storefront shops have large awnings and the street appears to be unpaved. This was probably a memento or souvenir of a cherished visit, or perhaps the home town of the original owner. This is a vintage ring or jewelry box. It is in good condition but does show age from the decades of time which has passed. The interior is lined with blue silk which shows wear and fading.
