This is a handmade end grain cutting board. End grain cutting boards are preferred by newest many people because a knife has a tendency to go between the wood fibers instead of cutting across the fibers as they would with a side grain cutting board. This means an end grain board will generally show less damage from use than a side grain board will. This cutting board is 12 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches thick. It is made from Hard Maple and Black Walnut.
