Manta Ray Bas newest Relief Wall Sculpture

Hand cast and colored three dimensional relief sculpture of a sting ray, resting on the ocean floor.

This fascinating animal presented some great sculptural design concepts to me. The gentle waving motion of it's 'wings' against the rippled sand creates a scene of calm and measured movement.

The original sculpture was created in soft clay. I then made a mold to cast hydrostone plaster editions. The resulting impressions are hand finished and colored. Each is signed and dated.

This piece is intended for indoor display.It has a wire on the back to hang like a painting. For a waterproof newest edition, please check out my concrete tiles.
