Product code: 1940s Bert Thomas newest handkerchief, wartime cartoons
A highly collectible wwii era handkerchief (large size) designed by British cartoonist Bert Thomas.
The screen printed cotton features 5 cartoons. In the centre is Umbrella Man with a man parachuting, the four corners feature The Air newest Minded Marshall with an officer holding binoculars; Taking Off a woman undressing; Tails Up (my favourite) two dogs playing; Contact a couple canoodling.
The design is somewhat washed out, but this is still a fabulous piece.
