Todd Tremeer is a Canadian artist. He has been drawing and plein air painting landscapes in Canada for more than twenty-five years. This original art etching borrows from those many plein air paintings he has made in Ontario's Provincial Parks and in backwoods cottage country.

Printed on bright white, Magnani paper. Acid free, archival quality printmaking paper from Italy.

Signed edition of 10 intaglio prints. Each is signed in pencil and handprinted by the artist. Variations in ink colors and wiping technique makes each print somewhat different. Prints in the edition are labeled 'VE' for 'variable edition'.
AP means 'artist proof', 2 or 3 artist proofs of this edition were made.

In this etching, the zinc plate was heavily etched, scraped and aquatinted. "A la poupée" inking newest means several different colors of ink were carefully rubbed into the etching plate (brown, black, blue), followed by rolling a fourth color (green) across the high-points of the lower half of the plate. This complex inking process makes each print in this small limited edition uniquely different.
