This pendulum has a sculpted porcelain hand, an all seeing eye in the palm (to symbolise spiritual vision) and carat gold lustre nails hanging on a copper toggle chain. It can also be worn as a bracelet for transportation. With the copper content it is suitable for a 7th anniversary gift.
I sculpted the hand and eye in wax and made a mould. This was used to cast three porcelain parts which are carefully pieced together.
The nails are glazed and the hand is fired in my kiln.
24 karat gold lustre is applied to the nails and the hand is fired again.
Semi precious turquoise cabouchon is secured in the eye.
Ceramic porcelain hand 5 x 3 cm.
100% copper links toggle chain. Chain length 195 mm approx.
Overall length including hand 25 cm.
