Hello from the team (Damien and Cinder) at SucculentPlantShop! We are plant enthusiasts in San Diego, CA, and love growing all kinds of plants. In fact, everything that we sell in this shop has been propagated or grown from seed. Damien specializes in cacti seed growing including his Turk's Cap Cactus (Melocactus matanzanus). The Turk's cap cactus has been a 6-year project from collecting the seeds from his mother plant, propagating and carefully nurturing them into the beautiful cactus they are today.
When it comes to plant care and dedication, Damien takes it to the next level. For example, when the Turk's cap cactus were tiny cacti, no bigger than a grain of rice, they have gone on a few camping adventures with Damien. Damien has taken them to the Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, and the Borrego Desert! Hopefully, their next adventure will be traveling to your home!
We are a small shop- one human, one cat, and a whole bunch of cacti! Damien does most of the work and Cinder supervises the entire operation. We take pride in ensuring that any plant that is purchased is healthy and a plant that we would want to receive as a customer. Every plant is carefully packed for travel and if possible, we often repurpose packing materials (e.g. Amazon). We also strive newest to do same-day or next-day packing and shipping of orders because we understand the excitement of plant mail! Thank you for stopping by!
