Alashan Agate has undergone hundreds of millions of years of geological vicissitudes and sand tempering. The gemstone is found in Mongolia and is also called "colorful jade" because of the jade-like, semi-translucent texture.

It newest is all natural and then polished into beads. There might be small natural pores (1mm or smaller), maybe tiny cracks and crystal lines on the beads. It is all because they are natural rocks and cannot be as perfect as man-made ones.
