Unframed and unmatted. This piece can be matted or mounted (the edges are deckled).
The first of a series of sonnet collages I began in 2009. Rice and handmade papers were coated with acrylic medium onto heavy 300 lb. arches watercolor paper. The words of the sonnet were hand typed by me onto a deep golden yellow lokta paper. I have accented the words with multicolored painted squares and rectangles. The surface has been protected with an UV Protective spray.
