Multi Media Art, Mixed Media newest Painting, Italian Artwork | "Dipinto in nero"

General:
"Dipinto in Nero," or "Colored in black," is a unique piece of 1:1 multi media art. Working with colors typically outside of my palette, I worked to meet two deep, bold colors in a harmonious dance with highlights of each mixed in via glass beading. I love how it turned out, and I hope it speaks to you too!


Inspiration:
To experiment with colors out of my comfort zone, black and copper as a color combo.


Materials Used:
- Acrylic paint
- Stretched canvas
- Easel
- Colored glass beads


How Long to Complete:
My multi media art is streamlined in how long it takes me to complete each piece. Typically, it takes several days depending how many media forms I use. If I were to use just acrylic paint and glitter it would be quicker because it has only 2 layers of drying, but because in most pieces I use multiple media forms it takes several days sometimes 2 - 3 hours a sitting. If I texture the canvas which is the case in most of my pieces, I apply either actual sand or a texture media in both cases this takes a good 2 days to adhere and dry. Then I start with applying my colors. These have to dey as well and I may change and go over layers of colors which again asks for drying time. My last layer are the embellishments such as glass beads and glitter. The very last step, once I am satisfied how the piece newest is looking, I will apply a protective coating. Then the piece is completely done.


How to Display:
My mixed media artwork is intended to be a home decor element displayed either on a surface top on the easel it comes with or as a wall hanging. This piece should always compliment the colors in a room or be the accent color.
