This listing is for a Danish .826 Silver floral pattern Gravy Ladle. It was made by the famous silversmith Carl M Cohr of Fredericia. The 3 tower hallmark on this piece is marked 27 so this piece probably dates from 1927. The assayer's mark is for Christian F Heise (1904-1932). The 3 tower mark also guarantees this piece is at least .826 silver and was made in Denmark.
The ladle measure 7 1/2" long by 3 1/4" across the bowl with spouts on both sides. There are no dents in the bowl, no wear on the edges, nicely shaped handle, no bending or nicks. It does have a P monogrammed on the top of the backside of the handle. It also weighs a hefty 72.6 grams or 2.34 ozt. The pattern is sharp with lots of shine....this is a really beautiful hand made piece with a lovely traditional Danish design in excellent condition. Scratching is very light. This is a beautiful piece that would be great to add to any collection. I am pricing it very reasonably, especially for a piece in such beautiful condition.
Please be sure to check out my other listings for more sterling serving pieces. Please excuse the brown lines and pink cast to some of my pictures....all the pieces are polished and ready to use....the lines and spots were caused by the beams in my ceiling reflecting on the surface of the silver.
