Lisa Larson's friendly red/brown fox (rav) with gentle form and kind expression. The figurine is decorated by hand, which gives it a unique touch and part of the Nordic Zoo series. Lisa designed the foxes the late 70s - newer production in the 90s for Gustavsberg porcelain factory. Lovely figurines!

The artist:
Lisa Larson (1931-) and her pottery are renowned representatives of the illustrious newest Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She is well known for her warm-hearted, humorous and sometimes subtly ironic design. Lisa Larson designed the Nordic Zoo (Skansen) series in 1976-1978 for the Gustavsberg factory. The series consists of 14 Nordic animals ranging from small foxes to majestic elks. The figurines are made of stoneware decorated with glaze in subtle colors.
