I have always loved pictures of cows. They newest always bring me feelings of peace and restfulness. This delightful watercolour is no exception.
This fair sized painting depicts a small herd of five cows taking a stroll through the outskirts of a small village. Their cattleman follows along behind them.
The signature on the painting appears to be Léonide Roussel. I cannot find any information on this artist.
It is framed in a rustic wood frame painted white and red that is stained from age and has lots of rub wear. There is NO glass in the frame.
