Product code: Early 19th century Dutch/Brussels Demitasse Cup newest and Saucer

An antique demitasse cup and saucer made most probably Brussels in the early 19th century.

The cup is stylistically in keeping with Parisian porcelain from around 1800. The cup bears the inscription 'Ter Beloning Uwer Vlijt' (a reward for your deeds) in Dutch. As Brussels had a porcelain factry making wares that were in keeping with the Parisian style I believe this cup to originate from there. Also, the floral bouquet is stylistically in keeping with the Brussels style of painting.

The cup measures 5.5cm in height newest. The saucer measures 10cm in diameter.

The set is in a good condition with wear on the gilding. The cup has a chip on the upper rim.
