This piece is for staring at, finding stories and ideas in it. My current medium of vintage findings and linens and the collection of cloth that I pull from is a solid place to build the quilts I see behind my eyes. I call this Sailing Into Summer. You can see bits of embroidery and words. It's signed. A miniature quilt, thoughtfully and artfully made, little hand needled stitches, holding everything together. They are made as collage using needle and thread to hold everything together. I don't use a sewing machine. I sew the small pieces together by hand and also hand stitch the layers together to create these tiny quilts newest. It is finished with strong hanging threads so you can easily find the perfect spot on a wall. It measures 19 inches long and at its widest is 19 inches.
