Vintage early 20th century newest French sterling silver napkin ring with ribbon, floral decoration all around. On the front, it has a monogram cartouche, engraved with interlaced initials 'JJ' or 'IJ'. Overall in good condition. As an old piece, it shows signs of age and use, namely tarnish and surface scratches, scuffs to the body and a few tiny edge 'nicks' to the rims. The ring is slightly out of perfect round. There are no dents, splits or repairs to note.
It is stamped with the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark for .950 silver. Also bearing maker's mark for André Roberge, who worked between 1910-1924 at 4 rue de l'Entrepôt in Paris.
The ring is 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter, 1 3/8 inches (3,5 cm) wide and weighs 36,6 grams.
