Vintage Engineering - 'Monarch 22, Dial-A-Pricer' - Big Green Machine - Working newest Price Sticker Machine
I've always loved anything made of metal or wood; that means quality and age. This is an all metal machine from a store that in its day was amazing. I remember purchasing items at newest Bergos in Mason City, Iowa. The display and work-a-day items were sold at auction and I picked up this Monarch. It is a Monarch 22, with dust on it but in working condition. The mechanics are amazing. The drawer on the bottom of the green cast iron machine slides out to reveal metal plugs. I found information on a 'Monarch 20 Dial-A-Pricer', but none for the upgraded 22. The machine is made of heavy-duty cast metal, painted in an industrial textured green color. I believe it to be in functional working order minus a good ink bad and the paper roll price tags. When the wooden handle is cranked around clockwise the adjustable printer keys come down to print the tag/label & pushes out another tag. The back side of the machine finds a door that opens & you insert your roll of pricing labels. The serial no. is '22-2656'. It is 10½" tall and weighs 10 lbs. 11 oz.
Thanks for opening The Brown Suitcase.
