Native to the Japanese island and Taiwan this palm has a densely packed leaf crown with 30 to 50 green to bright green leaves when mature. This is a magnificent palm for container growing or in the yard in an appropriate hardiness zone.
The growth rate of this palm will vary depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature etc. A few leaves are often trimmed prior to shipping to reduce transpiration and travel stress.
Easy to grow and easy to care for.
When you plant it allow enough room for growth (the looser the roots, the taller and healthier your palm will be) When the plant becomes root bound its growth will slow and you should up-pot.
Well newest drained but moist, rich organic mix.
Give it lots of light-80-100% sun.
Use palm fertilizer or slow-release. Both are available in the shop.
