HERE IS MY LATEST ADDITION TO MY RECYCLED,REPURPOSED,UPCYCLED WINDCHIMES,made from vintage silverware,either sterling or silver-plate. *****I had a customer ask me to come up with a wind chime for a friend who had to have one of her dogs' put down. His name was Rocky. I came up with making a wood bone which I engraved on both sides and added tiny wooden beads to match the stain. I also gave it a coat of polycrylic. The ladies' colors were deep red so I used beads in that color and also added red to the engraved ahem. When she picked it up she was so pleased that she suggested I use the photos to introduce a new use for my windchimes-----AS AN "IN MEMORY OF-------" GIFT FOR SOMEONE WHO IS GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A BELOVED PET. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ME MAKING ONE FOR YOU,PLEASE SEND ME THE COLOR/S YOU WOULD LIKE ALONG WITH THE TINY WOODEN BEADS,WHICH PERFECTLY MATCH THE BONE. ALSO LET ME KNOW THE NAME Y OU WANT ME TO ENGRAVE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BONE., "EVERY TIME THE WINDCHIME,CHIMES,IT'S A KISS AND HUG FROM THEIR PET!!" I love to recycle old silverplate and sterling silver into whimsical,fun,melodic windchimes!! I bought my first one 49 years ago, at an art fair. I still have it and it was the inspiration to my love of creating them and sharing them with others! Hopefully, you will find them as relaxing and enjoyable as I do! I will be listing several and each one is unique and one of a kind! I am happy to take special requests for colors or combinations of glass beads. I use strong 15# nylon filament and I super glue all knots so they will withstand any of the elements "Mother Nature" sends our way! I use the handle of a serving or soup spoon newest or a fork, as the clapper and the bent spoon bowl as the wind catcher.I have had many customers buy several as gifts for their friends and family,for BIRTHDAYS,ANNIVERSARIES,GRADUATIONS,BRIDAL SHOWERS,CHRISTMAS,HOUSE WARMING AND HOSTESS GIFTS AND EVEN AS A GIFT FOR THEMSELVES!
