Antique Victorian Mourning Locket, Etruscan Revival Onyx Hair Keepsake newest

newest Lovely antique mourning hair locket dating to the Victorian era, in the Etruscan Revival style. The rectangular locket features black onyx on both sides and rose and yellow gold. An Etruscan soldier is etched into the onyx on the face of the locket. The interior reveals the original glass compartments and hair that was stored by the Victorian era owner of this locket to remember a loved one. This antique locket was made in Italy.

1 1/8” height x 3/4” width x 3/8” depth

Condition: the primary flaw of this piece is that it is missing the bale (gold loop attached to the locket). The onyx face has very small scratches and the gold features an antique patina. See detailed photos. These flaws have been factored into the price.
