Product code: Antique 1770 English Georgian Sterling newest Silver Round Tip W Mono Serving Spoon
Presented is an fine quality, newest antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made by Alexander Barnet of London between 1769 and 1771. This 18th century, Georgian piece is done in a classic pattern, with a rounded end handle. The front of the handle has an old, original monogram of the letter W.
The back of the handle bears the crowned leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a date letter O for 1769 or Q for 1771( too worn to tell) and a maker's mark for Alexander Barnet.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age with minor surface wear.
