This delicate mushroom mandala keepsake/jewellery box was hand burnt and designed using only traditional methods, and hand painted so it glows in the dark!

Pyrography is newest the art of burning designs onto wood, leather, bones, skulls, antlers - anything you can imagine! I burn between 250 and 450 degrees Celsius (482-842 Fahrenheit!) With a solid tip pyrography pen. The pyrography process is incredibly theraputic, and each piece takes anywhere from 1 hour to complete, to over 24 hours for some of my bigger pieces! I love mixing mediums, such as burning designs onto wood and leather together. I adore mixing rustic mediums together to form a really organic feeling piece with plenty of soul.

I love doing commission pieces, as it pushes me to learn new methods and ideas - so they are greatly welcomed! No matter how out there the idea, I'm up for trying it!
