One of the Six Ancent Kilns of Japan, Seto ware found initial fame in replicating advanced Chinese ceramics, such as tenmoku and celadon wares. Later, Seto-yaki developed many unique styles of its own, such as Shino ware, Kiseto ware, and Oribe ware.
