A #8 Chain Necklace Teardrop Shape Link Sterling Silver newest Handmade With Easy Open Hook 20 OR 24 Inch Lengths 3/4 X 1/4 Inch Wide Links

Teardrop shape chain link necklace hand made using sterling silver 18 gauge wire. This chain is available in 20 and 24 inch lengths. The pictures magnify the links, they are more delicate looking then they appear. They measure 3/4 inch long by 1/4 inch wide. The necklace has a sensuous feel with a lot of movement when worn. This is a light weight chain.

The #8 bracelet matches this chain, and can be attached to the chain to make a longer version.

The 18 gauge sterling silver links are formed using a small round nose pliers to form the teardrop shape, and soldered to an 18 gauge round jump ring. Each link is joined together with another jump ring and soldered shut. Hook is formed with a pliers using 18 newest gauge sterling silver and soldered. The entire necklace is sanded using multiple grades of fine sandpaper to smooth any rough spots, and 0000 grade steel wool to prepare it for polishing. This process is done by hand using a polishing wheel and polishing compound. A final hand polishing with a silver cloth completes the chain.

All items in my shop are handmade by me in my home workshop in Allentown, PA. I use .925 sterling silver which is the standard.
