This is a natural dye kit that includes a super-snuggly-soft and lightweight cotton gauze scarf, plus all the ingredients, tools, and instructions you'll need to experiment with textile dyeing using pigments from plants! The Tea and Iron Dye Kit includes: 

• 1 Charlie Darwin undyed garment of your choosing
• Detailed instruction manual for natural dyeing (including binding and knotting techniques)
• 35 black tea bags
• Soda ash for scouring (washing) the fabric
• Iron Sulfate for color modification (brown to dark grey)
• Wooden spoon
• Wooden stirring sticks
• Recyclable paper cups
• Rubber gloves
• 2 test tubes and a linen holster

The dyeing process can be completed within a couple of hours in a single day.

• The wooden spoon and stirring rods can be saved and reused for gardening, other crafts, etc. (but due to their contact with the mordants, we don't recommend you use them for any food later!)

Garment Care Instructions: 

For longest-lasting wear, we recommend you hand wash and hang dry your scarf after you've dyed it. To preserve the natural dye color, please do not dry or store in direct sunlight or near harsh heat. Do not iron.
