To celebrate the first time the NYSE opened for trading as a publicly traded company these bells were produced and handed out only on the floor of the exchange. The New York Stock Exchange operated by NYSE Euronext after the NYSE and Euronext merged. The Exchange is the largest stock exchange in the world based on the value of securities traded.
