Water and fire are either destructive or life-giving, so seem like the perfect symbols for transformation. In this narrative piece I hope the viewer gets the sense that the human soul is what has the power to bring the greatest change, and it starts within oneself. This painting is about transforming souls.
The fire and roar of the lion here are not made of anger and destruction, but love and passion.
Only when we change our attitude from the inside are we able to truly love others, and make lasting changes that ripple across our region and beyond.
