Banksy's hommage to Andy Warhol's Banana (1967). It has become an internationally recognized symbol of Warhol, the pioneer of American Pop Art. ... Warhol's innovative album cover featured the image of a banana covered by a banana-skin sticker that fans could pull back to reveal the flesh-colored fruit underneath.
Banksy started out as a graffiti artist. Later on, he made more and more use of templates (a graphic form intended for repeated use) so that it would take less time to finish a work.
