Vintage Art Deco Era Egyptian Revival Winged Scarab Snakes Brass? Metal Brooch Pin newest Stunner!
Description: Stunning, vintage, Egyptian Revival brooch from the Art Deco Era. It's composed of a metal that may be sheet brass with a bit of a bronze sheen or another non-magnetic metal and a prong-set, molded glass or early plastic, blue-green scarab set in the center. The back features an Egyptian goddess and hieroglyphic symbols. The scarab moves around a bit in it's setting but is secure. The metal has a stamped or hammered, detailed design with wings around the scarab and two snakes on either side and an orb or solar disc at the top. Patent number on the pin fixture. Probably c. 1920s-30s. Box not included. Very special piece I've had in my collection for many years but the jewelry deities require a sacrifice! See my other listings for other Egyptian Revival items.
Measurements: Just under 2 newest inches tall and 1.5 inches at widest point.
Weight: Approximately 6.7 grams.
Condition: Very good, vintage condition with wear in keeping with and use. A bit of wear to the scarab can be seen upon close examination. Clasp in working order. Please use the photos as a guide as they form part of the description and the condition of a piece is subjective.

Notes about purchasing vintage and antique jewelry: Items that have been loved for decades or even centuries should be purchased with the understanding that they usually reflect age-related wear.
