Hand forged fireplace brush newest / fire tool / companion set

The brush is fixed to the poker via screws so it can be replaced or changed for any other brush type you may want to use.

Please note, the brush is shown here with a horse handle but it can be finished off with any of the animal heads I make.

I forge in a small smithy in the heart of the English countryside, working with equipment and techniques that are hundreds of years old. I take inspiration from the natural world and enjoy producing highly detailed, textured work which often also has a function. Each piece is wrought from solid steel and hammered out with no mechanical shortcuts or modern tooling.

Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would.

Because of the nature of my newest work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.
