Lake Michigan - The newest Greatest Lake - Painting on Canvas with Felt Appliqués This is a painting that is 30” high and 15” wide. It is 3/4” deep. This is a back stapled stretched canvas with a black painted edge. Acrylic paints were used for the background and finished with varnish. Modge Podge was used to create a bubble texture in the water areas. The felt pieces are to be the shape of Lake Michigan and the colors were selected to resemble a sunset. The middle yellow section is supposed to be the Sun. Each piece of felt is 2 layers, glued and stitched together.
