Victorian Fairing newest Baby Match Holder

This darling little piece was actually a prize handed out to people in the Victoria Era when they won something at the fair. Amazing that so many of these pieces have remained in an excellent condition such as this one. I fell in love with this baby's face and the doll it is holding. The gold dots are actually raised up into dull spikes. It was originally a match hold, but it would be newest a darling vase or safety pin holder. Or a gift to give to the new Grandma in waiting!
