This Welcome Sign is made out of 1/2" thick cabinet-grade Baltic Birch plywood. Baltic Birch is virtually void-free and true to newest staying flat. Something not found with lesser grade plywood, especially pine.

Our decor differs from most other similar items on Etsy in the fact that we actually spray 2 to 3 coats of a professional quality Pre-Catalyzed Satin Lacquer on all of our Decor, sanding between each coat, for a silky smooth finish.

First, we cut out the separate components. Then the sign is painted then sanded just the right amount. We then apply a stain and hand rub to get a rustic vintage look. We then apply the lettering and decorations. When all is dry, we spray it with several coats of satin pre-cat lacquer for a warm finished look.
