Now available is this wonderful vintage Estoplast desk lamp from the iconic Soviet era Estonian company circa 1970s.

This wonderful all original mid century lamp is an unusual design and the only example we have had in our shop in this rare blue.

Finished with a white plastic base, bright blue acrylic shade, white metal inner and rear to the lamp head and a polished metal pole, the head of the lamp can pivot newest vertically giving a range of light positions.

This lamp has a base mounted on/off switch, requires an E27 Edison screw fit bulb and is fitted with a European plug that is easily changed.

A little about Estoplast….

The plastic industry started in the beginning of the twentieth century however it was the fifties brought the introduction of thermoplastics. This was the foundation for the widespread use of plastics especially in what we all love.... the mid century. Estonia was significant in this field and brands Estiko, Estoplast, Norma, Polymer, Red RET, and Salvo became iconic.

In 1959 various small companies merged to become the now iconic Estoplast, which became has highly influential in mid century interiors.

The condition is excellent wearing a very pleasing light patination, there is a very minor scratch under 1 cm in length on the bakelite base.
