NOTE: "HAR" mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York. Joseph Heibronner & Edith Levitt founded Hargo newest in 1955. Some pieces of HAR jewelry are among the most sought after by collectors due to their rare and creative designs. HAR is the Mid Century king of fantasy jewelry. His pieces often have vibrant colors with imaginative themes. Heibronner was born in 1893 in Munich, Germany, became a US citizen in 1948, and married Edith Levitt in 1952. Joseph died in August of 1968. Sadly, HAR was a company in existence for only a few years. His work is difficult to find, quite rare, and highly collectible.
