According to tradition originating in England in the 18th century, a Witch Ball hung in the newest window of a house protects the house and it's occupants from evil spirits and negative energy. The beautiful colour entices the evil spirits, which then become ensnared in the internal strands and rendered harmless,thus ensuring peace in the home.
