A ready to wear Hand Knitted Artisan Wool Beret Hat.
The design of this beret is by Karen Fechter Knits and this particular hat is hand knitted by myself.
You will receive a little work of art to wear - the exact hat shown newest in the photos.
I used yarns that are made of natural fibers for the hat.
The Light Grey base yarn is Tradition Deluxe by Navia (spun in family owned mill in The Faroe Islands).
The variegated yarn is Yuzen, a Japanese yarn by Noro (made in Japan).
Tradition Deluxe yarn is 100% Faroese Wool (sheep wool)
Yuzen yarn consists of 56% wool, 34% silk, 10% Kid Mohair
The beret is knitted in fair isle stranded color work technique. After completion of the knitting, the hat has been felted to create a French Style Beret that shields against wind, rain and snow.
When lying down flat it measures 10 1/2" in diameter
Fits head circumference 19" to 22"
It is a Women's Small to Medium size hat
