This is an authentic, amazing, handcrafted needlework of an Otomi family from Tenango de Doria. I traveled to the "Sierra Madre" to meet this family. This beautiful work is also known as "tenangos", precisely because of its origins. The family that I am working with has done this beautiful work for generations and their Tenangos have won nationwide contests promoted by Mexican museums.

The vibrant Mexican colors and motifs of the #Otomi textiles from Tenango de Doria have not escaped the eye of French fashion house, Hermes!!! Which has translated them into beautifully embroidered scarves.

Through your purchase, you help giving income and security to the skilled embroiderers of this remote and beautiful part of Central Mexico.

Care of the product:
-Hand or machine wash on a gentle wash cycle with cold water.
-Preferably use dish detergent or detergent for delicate clothes.
-Straighten and hang to dry.
-Preferably Iron after dry so the item will keep its texture.
-Can be dry-cleaned.
-Do newest not bleach.
