Unusual 19th century richly colored mottled Victorian fireplace 6 x 6 inch tile featuring two cherub figures with "fresh kill" tied against a pole. The unique hunting scene tile was executed by the American encaustic tile company. An newest original 3 x 6 inch matching floral tile remains affixed to the figural tile, but can be easily removed. Any and all mortar has been carefully removed from the backside. Surface crazing evident.
