THE CRAFTING JOURNEY

With the hills of Northumberland as the backdrop to the workshop, my work is ever inspired not only by the beautiful countryside, but by the rich history of craftsmanship that existed along the Roman Wall. To be making jewellery, metal smithing, all these centuries later, immerses me in the alchemy of days gone by.

I'm inspired to keep traditional techniques alive through my work, while in my collection I hope they embody their own expression of the present age.

My name is Sarah and I'm intensely passionate about the visual language of jewellery. Starting out in London and then New York, I've been making jewellery for 20 years, born out of a love for newest these tiny pieces of art.

All Sarah Hickey jewellery is handcrafted with care in our Hexham workshop, hidden amongst the rolling Tynedale hills of beautiful Northumberland. We are a small team, who work hard to embrace beauty in all things and are proud to be a part of British Craft.
