Art Deco Elgin Clarice Jane White Guilloche Enamel newest Compact w/ Pink Floral Medallion, Circa 1930s, As Found in Montreal Antiques Flea Market

Found in an antiques flea market in Montreal, Quebec, this beautiful art deco inspired compact is white enamel guilloche on a gold tone case, embellished on the top with a pretty pink floral medallion. The compact has two compartments, one for rouge and one for face powder, and includes its original half moon powder puff embossed, Clarice Jane, made by Elgin. The compact still contains some rouge (although dried up from time) and face powder.

The compact measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Overall, the compact is in very good condition, considering it is almost 100 years old. The top is in excellent condition and the clasp closes tightly and securely. Circa 1920s, the compact is "as is" because the mirror is somewhat discolored from age (still very useable, though), the powder puff has some wear, and the bottom of the case has some very minor scuffing. Nothing that distracts from the beauty of this item.
