Large antique newest traditional basket - Oblong Dirndl bag - Wicker basket with handles - Willow suitcase - German Folk Art

A great old basket made of woven willow. Large handles for carrying. The case is lined with country fabric. There is a small mirror in the lid. These baskets were used in the past for large events of the rural peasant population. Due to their size, they could also hold food and drink.
Traces of time can be seen. Abrasion, scratches, change of color. Flaws in the material (see photos). The attachment of the lid on the back is not original. I bought the basket as it is and did not change anything on it.
Size without handle 14,2" x 8,7" / height 7,9" / height incl. handle 14,6".
