Early 20th century French biscuit porcelain sculpture after Moreau depicting a woman with a basket of flowers. Rich, tactile detailing draws the eye of the viewer as only fine biscuit porcelain can. It was produced by the firm of Samson et Cie of Montreuil, France, probably between 1945 and 1969. Incised rear of plinth newest “Moreau”. Marked underside with “Genuine Biscuit Made in France” and a blue underglaze mark (crossed leafy branches over "S") of Samsom Cie, founded in Paris in the early 19th century. Measures 15in height x about 7in x 6in. Condition: flowers in hand have a couple tiny fleabite chips noticeable under magnification, basket of flowers has a few small chips. Juju's Vintage
