This lazy cat is hand crafted of wood using the art of intarsia. It measures 13.5 inches tall, 14 inches wide and is 1 inch thick. It weighs 2 lb. 10 oz..
It contains 60 individual pieces of wood. Each piece is cut out with a scroll saw, shaped, raised or lowered and glued to present the perfect image of the cat.
The woods used are mahogany, aspen, padauk, walnut and pine.
The colors are natural wood colors. No wood stains are used.
A backing is attached and a saw tooth picture hanger is on the back for hanging on a wall. This cat can also be displayed on a flat surface supported by a picture stand.
A lacquer finish is applied to preserve the wood and give it a slight shine.
