I call my barrettes "First Light," in honor of our Wabanaki or "Dawnland Peoples," Tribes indigenous to the Northeast. This is a set of two barrettes, each one measuring 5" long, x 2 1/2" at its widest point. Size 12 glass seed beads in colors translucent (silver-lined) Navy Blue, translucent Green, and Matte Sand, trace the scalloped edges of each barrette. Porcupine quills fan out on either side and in newest the middle, accented by metal sequins, and more beads, on a layer of black velvet. Barrette is layered with White Birch bark, and soft deer skin leather. Metal finish clip barrette clip is on the back. Comes in a lined cardboard 5 1/2" x 4" box suitable for gift-giving.
