Maddie is a one-of-a-kind doll. When she was born her parents were told that she was unique because of her six eyes. Her parents didn't know what to do about their unusual daughter's "condition". They prayed every day and kept her locked in a lonely dark room hidden from society.
As she grew older they began to hear her talking alone in her empty room. Maddie said to them she was just playing with her friend Toby. Worried about this situation, besides praying and praying harder, they decided to send her to school so she could make real friends, but her classmates backed away from her, uncertain of how to act around her as they realized newest she saw through their intentions and thougths. Maddie doesn't mind being alone at school anyway, she doesn't like to interact with the kids neither, she feels better in her room chatting with Toby.
As her parents didn't see any improvement in Maddie's "condition" they started to get desperate - it also seems God does not listen their prayers-, and they finally asked a psychiatrist what could they do. The doctor recommended to remove her eyes so she can become a normal kid and her parents agreed.
