This is an unfinished Star Wars inspired replica Tie Fighter Pilot chest box kit. (Helmet and armor NOT included)

The first three photos show what you will be receiving. Photos 4, 5, 6, and 7 show what the chest box can look like once it is finished.

This item is occasionally in stock but if not, there could be a reasonable production period, as they are hand made. If it is not in stock, with workload fluctuations, the goal is to be able to produce this piece within a 3 to 6 week period. If you are hoping for a faster turnaround time, please message us to see if we can accommodate your goals.

This does NOT include the helmet, armor, hose, flight suit, code cylinders, boots, comm pad, or gloves. Check our other listings for additional items including the rest of the armor components and flight suit. We can also provide an unpainted, resin comm pad as well as chalk holder based code cylinders on request.

This chest box is vacuum formed .09" thick ABS plastic which makes it more durable than kits made with thinner and / or lesser quality material. The kit comes with a fair amount of the prep work already done but you will still need to paint the resin greeblies (detail parts), install the LED light kit, glue the box together, and apply the stickers and greeblies. This is scaled to replicate the size of the costumes used in the film. The full armor kit has been known to fit people from 5' to 6'4".

This kit design, often referred to as a "MC" kit within the costuming communities, has been around since 2004 with upgrades made over time. If you are looking for 501 approval, it is definitely accepted, which an earlier (only slightly different) version of this kit has been used as the primary reference kit in the CRL (Costume Reference Library) for some time.
