Circa 1936 – 1939 vintage movie camera. This is a Model A-8 Univex 8MM Cine Camera that was made by the Universal Camera Corp of New York and originally retailed for $9.95. Its unique design made it not only the smallest movie camera of its time but the most economical to use. It measures approximately 4 1/8” tall, 3 5/16” wide, and 1 ½” thick. It's attractive. The black frame has classic art deco lines. It's equipped with a Universal f:5.6 lens.
The camera comes with its original box, guarantee, instructional booklets, and a newspaper article touting the great features of the camera.
The camera appears to be complete and in good vintage condition. This very early Model A-8 camera is considered to be “scarce” and is being sold “as is”.
