Antique French teapot with warming stand, from early 19th century.
This type of teapot is called "Veilleuse", in 18th and 19th century it was kept on newest the bedside table for light and hot tea at night .
A candle or oil tray was place in the open of the stand with the dual use of making light and keeping the teapot warm.
Three-pieces set: stand with scalloped edge, teapot and teapot lid.
White porcelain with hand painted decor in pink and black with golden accents.
Antique used condition with flaws but usable: the teapot has a large crack on one side and a small chip at the base. The lid has a light crack and the stand a very small chip. Price accordingly, but remember that it is almost 200 years old!
